Chapter 247 "What on earth are you doing?" Dorian snapped sharply, "Cwith me." He grabbed Elysia's arm, but she screamed, "Don't touch me!" She shook off Dorian's grip, glared at him fiercely, then gave Jessica a look before running out. Amara had to muster all her strength to keep her anger in check as she chased after Elysia.
But as she reached the door, someone stopped her.
"Don't chase her. Let her cool off for a bit," Finnian said.
Amara paused, Finnian's hand on her arm. She considered rushing after Elysia, but then remembered how Elysia liked to be alone when she was upset. She'd cool down and cback once she was ready. So, she decided not to resist.

She removed Finnian's hand, turning to leave.
"What's wrong?" Finnian asked, following her.
Amara ignored him, walking briskly. Suddenly, tears welled up and spilled over.
Finnian was startled and quickly caught her arm, halting her. "Why are you crying? Did someone upset you?" Was she this upset because of Elysia? Finnian frowned slightly, gently wiping away her tears.
"I'm fine," Amara said coldly, pushing his hand away. "I just saw a bit of myself in Ely's situation." With that, she turned on her heel and walked away.
Finnian watched her go, puzzled.
Why did Elysia's situation make her think of herself? What had happened in her past? Elysia, who seemed so fierce and strong-willed, had softened all her edges for Dorian. Amara genuinely felt for her, and it made her reflect on her own life too.
She wasn't as fiercely independent as Elysia, but she also wasn't the type to play housemaid. Yet, for the past three years of marriage, she had been cooking and buying. clothes for Finnian, even though he never made an effort to meet her halfway.
Thinking about all those things made Amara feel a deep sense of self-pity.

Elysia didn't answer the call but texted back: "I'm fine, just need stto cool off outside. I'll be back soon; don't worry." Seeing this, Amara didn't press further. She sat in her room for a while longer before deciding to call Keith. She dialed Keith West on video chat, and he picked up almost immediately. His face filled the screen, grinning widely. "Hey there! What's up? Why are you calling?" Keith's big smile was infectious, and the beach setting behind him was bustling with cameramen and crew. Was he working on an event?
"Just wanted to check in on you.
Can't I?" Amara chuckled. "What are e you up to?
"An event, you know. Later, we're having a bonfire and doing an escape game. Check out how cool our set ΕΠ looks."
Keith turned the camera to show off the backdrop, giving Amara a quick tour "Looks great, really fun," Amara said. "Are you stuck there for a while?" "Yeah, it feels like being at a beachside jail. If we want to leave we have to book a mountain bike ride and get a local to guide us out.
Otherwise, we're stuck here, Keith joked.
