Isolde thought this was not the tto take shelter from the rain because the farther they went, the better.
There was no place nearby to take cover anyway, so she said, “Let's keep going. We'll find a place to shelter in
about an hour.”
Although the village chief was a martial artist, he was quite old. After walking through the night in the heavy
rain, he was exhausted. Hearing Isolde’s words, he becvery displeased. “It's not that we're not walking.
we're just taking a short break. You're young and can keep going, but how many people in the village are old?
Can't you show sconsideration for them? Having great martial skills is one thing, but having virtue is what
truly matters.”
Isolde looked at the sea of people in front of her, with complaints rising and heavy breaths filling the air. They
were indeed all truly tired.
Isolde hardened her heart and shouted, “Don’t stay. Leave immediately.”
Then she turned to the village chief and said, “It's said that the people of Rustwood always keep their word.
Since you agreed that if you lost, you would follow my orders, you must listen tonow.”
The village chief was so angry. “You little girl, your heart is too cruel.”
The people of Rustwood did indeed keep their word. Despite their resentment, they continued moving forward.
The rain didn’t stop, but the wind had clearly died down. Still, everyone was exhausted, and they walked very
slowly while carrying heavy loads,
“Did anyone hear that sound?” Gerald, who had just fought with Isolde, suddenly stopped and shouted.
However, he didn’t use his internal energy to project his voice, so not everyone could hear it clearly. Instead,
there was a rumbling sound that cfrom afar.
Isolde quietly cursed under her breath. She quickly leaped up to a tree while still holding the child and looked
into the distance, but everything was pitch black, and she couldn't see a thing. Using her internal energy, she
sent a message, “Hurry up, the mountain is collapsing.”
The rumbling sound grew louder, and the ground trembled. The shake was very clear, and everyone could feel it.
“Oh my God, the mountain is really collapsing, run!” someone screamed.
Isolde shouted sternly, “Don’t panic, do not panic! Don’t run, keep moving in the sorder as before!”
She called out again, “North Campth Army, listen up! All soldiers move to the sides and let the villagers go first.
You're in charge of maintaining order, no rushing or pushing.”

what was happening behind them. They could very well be buried under the landslide.
Isolde instructed the other villagers to hold the children, while she took up the rear along with the North Campth
Army to ensure everyone's safety.
“County Princess, you go first!” Hector quickly walked up to Isolde, shouting loudly.
“Cron talking and so ahead!” Isolde arahhed his arm and nuched him forward covinene.

Hector refused to leave. “Then I'll stay at the rear.”
Isolde didn’t care about his insistence and continued helping to evacuate the villagers.
The rain had slightly weakened, but the torches soaked in oil still wouldn't light, leaving them to move forward in
the dark.
It had been two or three days of continuous rain, starting with the hurricane and storm. The mountain paths
were slippery and muddy, making it difficult to keep balance. With this kind of evacuation, accidents were
inevitable. Isolde, in her effort to save others, didn’t know how many times she had fallen or slipped, and twice
she almost rolled down the mountain.
When they finally reached the safe area, everyone was exhausted.
The safe area was a church at the foot of the mountain. Upon learning that the villagers had been evacuated
from the mountain, the priests quickly cforward to offer comfort and reassurance.
The villagers had brought their food supplies with them, but Isolde couldn't rest. She joined the soldiers to help
cook for everyone.
While Isolde was busy with disaster relief, word reached the estate of Kamari in Zloimond.
When Kamari learned that more than 10,000 soldiers were summoned to guard the outside, he was so angry
that he yelled at Ashley, “This should be the best tforto win back the hearts of the people, but you, a
stupid woman, delayed it.”
Ashley patiently reasoned, “Your Highness, winning the hearts of the people is a gradual process, there's no
need to rush. The priority now is first to protect the royal residence and you. If I'm not mistaken, Isolde is
actually targeting the palace. Once our people are moved out, she will immediately order an attack on the
palace.”
“This is just your guess!” Kamari shouted angrily. “I ordered you to blow up the stone house earlier, but you
delayed it with your excuse that gunpowder can’t get wet and miss the chance. Now that they've left the stone
house, even if we still have gunpowder, what use is it? The imperial troops are scattered across the city to
provide disaster relief, and the people are growing loyal to the court. If we want to rise up, it will only take
longer. You're really incompetent.”
Ashley felt a surge of anger, but she restrained herself and said, “Your Highness, smatters have greater
urgency than others. Protecting the royal residence is more important than anything else.”
Kamari angrily said, “Isolde has only three thousand troops, while | still have five thousand soldiers in my
command. How could we not resist? You have ruined my grand plans! How dare you falsely issue military orders
in my name, commanding the soldiers to remain outside? If the people see that | only care about my own estate
in the face of disaster, the reputation and prestige my father built in Zloimond will be utterly destroyed in an
instant! Remember this, you are nothing more than a dog at my side. You are only to act according to my orders.
If this happens again, | will drive you out of my residence immediately!”
Ashley felt a chill in her heart. She never expected that after three years of assisting him, he would see her as
nothing more than a dog.
She swallowed her resentment in silence and looked at Kamari with humiliation before kneeling down. “Your
Highness, please trustthis once. Isolde is undoubtedly targeting the residence. If we disperse our forces, she
will surely lead her troops to attack immediately. So please, Your Highness, do not withdraw the soldiers
stationed outside the estate.”

Kamari could not trust her anymore. No matter how capable a person was, deceiving him and falsely issuing
military orders was something he could never tolerate. With a wave of his hand, he summoned the garrison
commander. “Withdraw the troops immediately. Assign more men to guard the granaries and prevent the
disaster victims from looting. If any looting occurs, execute the perpetrators on the spot, there's no need to
report to me. As for the rest of the soldiers, send them outo assist in citywide rescue and evacuation efforts.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOnce the people are settled, let the local officials figure out a way to procure more grain”
Ashley kowtowed, her voice filled with sorrow. “Your Highness, if you do this, your residence will not survive!”
“If you keep spouting nonsense, I'll chase you out immediately!” Kamari roared in fury.
“Your Highness!” Ashley called out. She knew Kamari was stubborn. Yet, she had always been able to speak
freely before him, believing that she held sweight in his heart. But now, she realized he truly saw her as
nothing more than a dog.
Watching her carefully laid-out plan unravel in his hands, Ashley felt both helpless and furious. Yet, she could do
nothing but step back in silence.
Outside Kamari’s residence, the main army withdrew, leaving only five thousand soldiers to defend the
estate.
Meanwhile, Doug's spies had been keeping watch. The moment the troops retreated, they sent a messenger to
report to Isolde.
Isolde had just descended from the church, her clothes soaked through. Upon hearing the news, she grinned,
revealing sharp, gleaming white teeth. “Pass down the order. Assemble all soldiers! We launch a full-scale attack
on King Kamari’s residence!”
The command had already been set in advance. Once the troops withdrew, an all-out attack was to begin. As a
result, the army mobilized swiftly. Within an hour, they had gathered in Bumblewick, ready for battle.
Dawn was just breaking, and the torrential rain still poured, though it had weakened compared to the night
before.
The three thousand exhausted soldiers of the North Campth Army faced off against the five thousand well-
rested palace guards. The odds were not in their favor. However, by striking swiftly and catching the enemy off
guard, Isolde still held a seventy-percent chance of victory.
However, this was definitely going to be a tough battle!
