Chapter 143 Unexpected Incident Allison hated being called Gaia, especially by Wayne, who was clearly the bad guy here.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. Even if I could, I wouldn't help you!" Allison shot back, standing her ground. Wayne's face twisted with anger, but Allison kept her gaze steady, not a trace of fear in her eyes.
In a flash, Wayne's hand was around her neck.
His grip was like a vice, and Allison thought her bones might snap.
"You ungrateful bitch! No one says no to me. If you don't do what I say, I'll kill you!" Wayne snarled.
Allison's face turned red, but she kept glaring at him, her eyes full of defiance, not a hint of begging.
Just as Wayne was about to choke the life out of her, a noise from outside made him let go and turn around. "What's happening out there?" Wayne demanded.
Someone burst in, looking terrified. "Mr. Simmons, we're surrounded!" Wayne turned back to Allison, eyes blazing.

Jasper, you're really screwed this time!" "Allison, you bitch!" Jasper swung at her, but she kicked him hard. Jasper's face went pale as he crumpled to the ground, groaning in pain.
Wayne was stunned by her strength. Ignoring the chaos outside, he lunged at her.
Allison didn't back down; she fought back. After a few hits, Wayne realized she'd been faking weakness all along. "You were pretending!" Wayne shouted.
Allison grinned confidently, making Wayne even angrier; he wished he could rip her apart.
"You think calling the cops will stop me? You're too naive! Jasper, set off the perimeter bombs and get everyone out!" Wayne ordered, pulling out a gun and aiming it at Allison's chest.
"If I can't have it, no one can! Gaia or not, you're dying today!" Wayne said, pulling the trigger.
Allison tried to dodge but wasn't quick enough; the bullet hit her shoulder, and she went down.
"Wayne, you said you wouldn't kill her! How am I supposed to get my money if she's dead?" Jasper appeared out of nowhere and punched Wayne in the face.
Wayne pressed the gun to Jasper's forehead. "No one defies me, not even you! Either she decrypts the code, or she dies!" The tension between them was electric, neither willing to back down. Allison, clutching her wounded shoulder, struggled to stand. Explosions boomed from the perimeter, knocking Wayne and Jasper off their feet.

Gunfire erupted behind them, and Allison's ears were ringing so bad she could barely hear. Jasper slung her over his shoulder and hauled her out of the warehouse to an old van parked on a patch of grass. He tossed her inside and sped off. "Jasper, you won't get away with this!" Allison shouted.
Jasper glanced back at her with a twisted grin.
"Allison, you're always so sure of yourself, thinking you're the smartest one in the room. But your cleverness always bites you in the ass! You don't trust anyone, not even Grandpa. The only person you trust is Grandma, but guess what? She hates you the most! You're Preston's daughter; how could she ever like you?" Jasper sneered, laughing like a maniac.
Allison felt herself getting colder. Her shoulder was bleeding like crazy, and without help, she knew she wouldn't last long.
"I know you won't taketo a hospital. I'll tell you a place; takethere, and I'll get the bullet out myself!" Allison said, but Jasper just ignored her, not even glancing her way.
Lying in the back of the van, Allison felt weaker by the second. "Jasper, if I die, you won't get what you want. Are you really willing to throw away billions of dollars?" she pressed.
Jasper shot her a glare. "You think I don't know that at your place, you'll signal for help, and I'll walk right into your trap? Don't takefor an idiot, Allison!" Allison took a deep breath. "Then find a place to stop. You get the supplies, and I'll take the bullet out myself." This time, Jasper didn't argue. He drove like a madman. About ten minutes later, a loud explosion rocked the van. Jasper slammed on the brakes, and Allison quickly sat up. Through the window, she saw the chemical warehouse engulfed in flames.

Meanwhile, Cleo had arrived first at the chemical warehouse. Seeing that Allison's watch signal matched the location, she stopped the car two miles away and quietly approached with her team. There were several warehouses, so they had to go inside to find Allison. "Split up and search. Don't alert anyone if you find her!" Cleo instructed.
Cleo headed straight for the largest warehouse and spotted Allison. She quickly signaled her team.
Seeing Allison tied up, Cleo wanted to rush in, but she noticed the om warehouse was guarded by about E thirty armed men. Frustrated, Cleo had to sneak back to get the car.
"Ms. Harvey, we didn't see Ms. Bennett," a few bodyguards reported.
Before Cleo could respond, several black cars appeared on the road.
"Get in the car. Someone's coming!" Cleo ordered.
She didn't know who those people were, so they couldn't stick around and risk getting shot.
