Caldwell was left at a loss for words. Ellis read through Freya's reply and mentioned it to her.
Freya opened her messages, scrolling until Caldwell’s text popped up. She noticed that Ellis's message was
pinned to the top, followed by various notifications, which pushed Caldwell’s message further down her list.
Ellis asked, “What did my dad want?”
Freya had been about to ask why Caldwell wanted her help with a proposal when a second message from him

Freya hesitated before replying, “Is this for yourself, or are you helping someone else?”
