Chapter 292 Suzanne chuckled as she added, "Con now. I need to get to work now. You should also get up and take a walk outside. Don't just live on your bed." She was able to tell from the tone of Marsha's voice that she was surely still in bed.
Marsha rubbed her swollen eyes and grumbled, "I'm tired and sleepy. I was up nearly the whole night again yesterday." Staying up late was a norm for people from their industry. It was inevitable.
Suzanne knew it was pointless trying to talk her out of staying up late, so she comforted Marsha gently, saying, "Then maybe just nap for a while more. Remember to eat something." Marsha yawned and replied, "Sure." She could barely finish her sentence before Suzanne heard long, deep breathing noises from the other end of the phone.

An hour later, Suzanne parked her car inside Yates Corporation's parking lot.
She had just gotten out of the car when she overheard someone in the corner saying in a low voice, "Did you see the news from yesterday? Suzanne is such a shameless whore for dating several men at the stime." Suzanne scanned around the empty parking lot and headed toward the direction from which she heard the voice. In the corner, Lilian, who had done a full-glam makeup look, was smoking in a corner. As white smoke curled from her mouth, she spat in disgust. "I told you she was up to no good. You believenow, right?" The other two women looked unfamiliar. They were probably from another department within Yates Corporation. They chimed in after Lilian, saying, "She looks pretty good, but I didn't expect her to be so shameless." Lilian scoffed with disdain. "She probably attracted many of those men with that face of hers." Especially when everyone knew how lustful men could be.
Suzanne stood behind Lilian with her hands crossed in front of her chest and said with a cold voice, "Pray tell, how did I use my face to attract men? Do you have any evidence of that?" Lilian raised her head abruptly, and her gaze fell on Suzanne's face. She was so shocked she took a few steps back, and the cigarette she had between her fingers fell to the ground.
She screamed at Suzanne in annoyance, "What's wrong with you? How could you just show up out of the blue without making a sound?" She placed her hand on her heart, trying to calm down.
The other women were all very frightened as well. Uneasiness was written all over their faces, and the situation they were caught in was so awkward that they didn't even know where to look.
Suzanne let out a cold bark of laughter before replying, "If you've done nothing wrong, you wouldn't be afraid of anything. Stop talking about others behind their backs." She initially didn't care about what people were saying about her, but they were doing it in front of her now. Did they really think that she was an easy target? Lilian already didn't like Suzanne to begin with. She felt like Suzanne was too haughty and arrogant. She certainly didn't expect Suzanne to have the courage to confront her about it.
Without hesitation, she fought back and screeched, "I have freedom of speech. Ican talk about whoever I want to. If you don't like it, look- away If you can't bear to hear it, walk away. Don't think just because you're Mr. Yates' daughter that you can do whatever you want. You're just a cheap whore seducing every man you" Suzanne slapped Lilian hard across her face. The sound of the slap reverberated through the entire parking lot. Lilian glared viciously at Suzanne with one hand cradling her face and the other hand pointing furiously at her. She shrieked, "You bitch! How dare you slap me? I'm calling the cops!" The other two women were dumbfounded. How could Suzanne just throw hands like this? However, when they saw Lilian taking her phone out and about to call the police, they quickly gripped her hand tightly. One of them comforted Lilian hastily, sayinol ne "Don't do this. We're all colleagues, after all." Another woman whispered into Lilian's ears, "Don't forget how Jessica got fired." They heard that even till now, Jessica was still homebound as she was unable to find a job.

Lilian stiffened. She was still glaring daggers at Suzanne, but she nom longer dared to continue yelling at her.
Suzanne glanced coldly at Lilian and warned, "I'll let it go this time. of m there's a next time, you'd better watch out." She retracted her gaze and turned to walk toward the elevator.
Seline had been watching the entire scene in her car with an icy smirk on her face. Then, she opened the door and walked toward Lilian.
Before Seline could get close to Lilian, her empathetic, concerned What voice rang out. What happened to your face, Lilian?"
