Chapter 283 Aaron nodded slightly, meeting Yasmine's gaze with a smile.

Yasmine planted her feet firmly on the floor and stated, "Con, let's go get changed." With that, she sprang up from her seat. Her action startled Aaron, who blurted out, "Slow down. Your legs don't hurt anymore?" Waving him off dismissively, she responded, "I'm fine. They've healed." To prove her point, she moved her legs slightly, but Aaron still looked unconvinced.

"Take it easy," he insisted.

Stepping forward, he gently took her hand and led her toward the walk-in closet.

Yasmine glanced at their intertwined hands, a smile curling at her lips. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she looked up at him. "Oh, right. Dad's birthday is coming up. We need to start preparing." It was an important event for the Hall family, something she couldn't afford to overlook.

Aaron turned back to her, nodding with a reassuring warmth in his gaze. "Don't worry, I've already made arrangements." Yasmine's lips curved into a smile. With him, she never had to worry about these things. She could focus entirely on her career without distractions.

She sighed in admiration. "You're my strongest support. Life is so much easier with you around." Aaron tightened his grip on her hand slightly, chuckling. "I could say the sabout you." His gaze was filled with nothing but affection.

By 7:30 pm, Suzanne pulled up outside the restaurant Yasmine had reserved. Pushing open the car door, she stepped out, her long legs unfolding gracefully.

Tonight, she wore a white off-shoulder blouse paired with a fitted pencil skirt that fell just below her knees. Since she was going to meet Emma, Suzanne had taken extra care with her look. Her hair was styled into two low ponytails, with delicate braids woven into each. They were secured with butterfly tassel clips.

The usual coolness in her demeanor softened, replaced with a playful charm.

Ine Opening the Ferrari's back door, she lifted out an oversized box overflowing with the latest Barbie dolls. She wasn't sure what Emma liked, but dolls were usually a safe bet.

Satisfied, she shut the car door, locked it, and turned toward the restaurant.

At the entrance, Suzanne's steps cto a halt. She double-checked the address on her phone, ensuring it was correct. Yet the restaurant before her was completely dark without a single light on.

She frowned slightly and reached for her phone to call Yasmine for confirmation.

Suddenly, the entire restaurant lit up.

Instinctively, Suzanne raised a hand to shield her eyes. When they adjusted, she took in the scene before her.

The once-dark restaurant was now aglow, decorated with blue ribbons. They were paired with soft blue roses and white wind chimes.

At the front stood little Emma, cradling a small cake in her hands, her face beaming with excitement. Her hair was styled in twin braids, matching Suzanne's exactly.

Behind her were Yasmine and Aaron, as well as one unexpected person He stood tall in a deep navy bespoke suit, his gaze locked on her, his eyes brimming with intensity. It was Austin.

Suzanne's breath hitched in surprise.

"Isn't he supposed to be on a business trip? Why is he here?" she pondered.

Just then, Emma's sweet voice rang out. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..."

Even someone as composed and detached as Suzanne equldn't help but feel her emotions surging at the En prepared surprise.

It ended up being her birthday celebration. She suddenly realized the reason Yasmine had invited her.

It was to celebrate her birthday. Although Yasmine had warmed up to her, Suzanne knew Yasmine wouldn't go out of her way to find out her birthday.

It was Austin. He had planned this. He wanted to surprise her.

At that moment, Suzanne felt her heart tremble violently.

Since the day her mother passed, she had never celebrated another birthday. But now, she felt cherished.
