Chapter 267 Alan looked at Suzanne with a look of realization in his eyes.
Feeling a little bad for her, he said, "Alright. In that case, just letknow if you need my help with anything." He truly couldn't comprehend why someone as remarkable as Suzanne would be let down tand tagain. Were those people out of their minds? Despite all that, Suzanne nodded nonchalantly. With a smile on her face, she replied, "Will do." She placed her cup of coffee back on the table. Then, she looked toward Alan and prompted, "Now, letfeel your pulse to assess your physical condition." She had thought that he had relapsed. Finding out that he hadn't did allow her to breathe a sigh of relief. Typically, his condition was a recurring one. It was extremely difficult to cure it completely.
Alan did not refuse. He reached his hand out and rested it on the armrest beside him.

His pulse was steady and strong, indicating that he was doing fine physically. Indeed, his pulse was that of a healthy person who had made a full recovery. Suzanne looked toward Alan and smiled. "All's good. You're as fit as a fiddle." Even though Alan was aware that he was fine physically, it still delighted him to hear that. He chuckled and said, "Thank you." When he pulled his hand back, he recalled the scene that just happened downstairs. An apologetic look cacross his face. "We've spoiled Yana, so much so that she tends to run her mouth. I'm sorry." Suzanne picked up the cup of coffee from the table and took a sip. "I can tell that she really fancies you." If not because of that, Yana wouldn't be feeling so threatened by the women who approached Alan.
Seeing Yana like that reminded Suzanne of Seline, who was always paranoid about her stealing Jenson away from her.
Seline hadn't realized that Jenson was like a piece of trash to her. Why would Suzanne still be hung up on him? Alan paused momentarily. With a smile on his face, he shook his head at Suzanne. "Although our families are family friends, she has always been just like a sister to me." Frankly speaking, Suzanne couldn't care less about their relationship. She nodded emotionlessly and got to her feet. "It's about tforto leave if there's nothing else." Knowing that she might be late, she applied for stoff from Seline. That being said, she still had to go to work. Otherwise, she couldn't be sure if Seline would use this against her in the future.
"I'll walk you out." Alan got to his feet immediately.
Suzanne shook her head promptly. "No worries. I'll see myself out." Even so, Alan walked her downstairs out of courtesy anyway. He scanned his employees who were at their respective stations around them. Then, he looked toward Suzanne and nodded. "Thank you for making the trip here today." Suzanne responded with a calm nod, "You're welcome." Everyone was dumbfounded.
Alan usually had such a high and mighty presence that no one could ever seem to reach him. Yet he was being so respectful toward Suzanne.
Why was that? As of now, no one could understand why that was so.
