Chapter 265 It finally clicked for Yana. Looking at Alan in disbelief, she questioned, "Alan, why should I apologize to her?" How could Alan tell her to apologize to someone like Suzanne? Suzanne no longer wanted to bother with these matters. She lifted her eyes at Alan and said in an indifferent tone, "Forget it. Let's go." She refused to waste her ton meaningless matters.

However, Suzanne's response sounded like sarcasm to Yana.

With rage written all over her face, Yana lurched at Suzanne and grabbed her top. She screamed, "What the hell did you mean by that, Suzanne?" Alan shut his eyes momentarily as if he was trying to hold back his anger. He stepped forward to drag Yana away forcefully. In a frigid voice, he questioned, "Yana, have I been too accommodating toward you this whole time?" Yana stumbled a couple of steps back. If not for the two receptionists who helped her find her footing by holding onto her from beside, she might have stumbled embarrassingly to the floor. Even so, she felt utterly humiliated. She felt as if she had been struck by a bolt of lightning. Wide-eyed, she stared at Alan and Suzanne in shock.

She couldn't believe that Alan actually shoved her aside because of a slut! Yana burst into tears. "I hate you, Alan!" She dashed outside while tears streamed down her face.

Alan looked extremely upset. He turned back to look at Suzanne. Regretfully, he said, "Sorry for putting you in such a tight spot today." Suzanne shook her head slightly, not bothered by what happened.

She simply looked in the direction that Yana went. "Aren't you going to chase after that childhood sweetheart of yours?" A helpless expression cacross Alan's face. He asked, "Why are you also teasingabout this?" Suzanne smirked slightly. As she no longer wished to dwell on this topic, she prompted in a calm voice, "Let's go. Letcheck up on you." Alan nodded respectfully. He extended his arm and urged, "This way." After acknowledging with a slight nod, Suzanne glanced toward Roselynn and said, "Roselynn, wait here." Roselynn returned a compliant nod. She lifted the corners of her lips immediately and replied, "Alright. Go ahead, Mrs Ms. Yates." Thereafter, Suzanne and Alan stepped into the CEO's personal elevator, leaving the shocked crowd behind. "What's going on? Mr. Alvarez didn't look like he was talking to someone he has romantic feelings for." "I don't know. Something is really off. Even Yana got told off." "All I can say is that Suzanne is crafty, indeed." Others expressed their agreement with that statement. Suzanne had unlocked the ultimate secret to controlling men.

"If we paid Suzanne to publish a book on how to have men in our grasp, I'll be the first one to get her book." "After all, one has to be somewhat crafty in order to seduce so many men." The employees of Alvarez Corporation gossiped among themselves while sneering at Suzanne.

Roselynn scanned the crowd, then harrumphed coldly. "Speople are just bitter because they're not like Ms. Yates. Though, do note that it's Mr. Alvarez who isn't good enough for Ms. Yates. Stop trying to matchmake them." Suzanne was Austin's partner.

When the others noticed Roselynn's presence, they shut their mouths. If Roselynn told on them, they wouldn't be able to deal with it once Alan found out. So, they shot her a look of disdain while they held themselves back. At the stime, they could not believe a single word she said.

Five minutes later, Alan led Suzanne to the door of the CEO's office. He pushed the door and entered.

An expensive, black-colored couch made of genuine leather sat in the spacious office. The black, stone ve coffee table enhanced the classy look of his office. On it was a vase full of blooming daffodils that brought life to the room. Suzanne sat down on the couch.

Alan's secretary brought a cup of coffee into the office. With a smile on her face, she said politely, "Here you go." Suzanne nodded slightly as she replied, "Thank you." The secretary smiled as she retreated out of the room and shut the door softly behind her.
