Chapter 245 The next day was Saturday. Suzanne had the day off, but since she had already made plans with Shane to visit the Lloyd family, she got up at the crack of dawn. She had barely sat down at the breakfast table when her phone rang. It was Shane.
Before Suzanne could say a word, Shane's playful voice rang out. "Hey, Ms. Yates, why don't you letswing by and pick you up?" Suzanne took a sip of her milk and replied without hesitation, "No thanks. I'm driving myself." At that, Shane's face fell, his eyes clouding over with disappointment. He slumped over his steering wheel and grumbled, "Ever since you moved out of your old place, I don't even know where you're living. Why do you have to be so secretive?" Then, as if a sudden thought had struck him, he sat up straight and blurted out, "Tell me, are you hiding a man at home?" Suzanne nearly choked on her drink, coughing harshly as Shane's tone shifted from playful to incredulous. "No way! Am I right?" he pressed, his voice rising. "Which guy is it, huh?" Oh, great. First, it was Jenson, and now this? He was probably terrified of losing his "miracle doctor" Jane too. Shane's whole demeanor shifted as he pleaded, "Babe, promiseyou won't leave me!" His voice was laced with genuine fear.
Rolling her eyes, Suzanne grabbed a tissue and wiped her mouth. "Please, stop letting your imagination run wild. I'm on my way," she said coolly before hanging up, shaking her head at his constant wild theories.

Suzanne flashed a warm smile. "Yeah, it's enough," she replied, then finished the butter cake and headed for the door.
Outside the Lloyd residence, Suzanne's Ferrari was already parked. Leaning casually against her car, with his arms crossed and a pout on his face, was Shane.
Today, Suzanne had chosen a striking look—a white mask that revealed only her cherry-pink lips, perfectly complementing her white dress. There was something undeniably mysterious and captivating about her, an allure that spoke of an exotic elegance.
Shane, however, wasn't paying any mind to her outfit. He was still stewing over the whole "mystery man" issue. With his lips puckered in a sulk, he muttered, "If you ever retire because of sguy again, I swear I'm gonna kick that bastard's ass." He waved his fist, putting on a fierce expression.
Suzanne couldn't help but smirk. "You sure you can handle takingon?" she teased, her tone light and playful.
Shane's eyes grew wide in shock, and he stuttered, "Was what I said actually true?" His voice trembled, betraying his nerves.

Sensing he was about to lose it, Suzanne quickly reassured him, saying, "Okay, don't worry, about it. Right now, nothing's gonna stopfrom playing my role as Jane." Her words, meant as a soothing promise, seemed to work like a charm. Instantly, Shane's mood shifted. Relief washed over him, and he grinned broadly. "Alright, alright, let's go," he said, his playful scowl melting into an eager smile.
Watching him stride into the Lloyd residence with an almost spring in his step, Suzanne shook her head and couldn't help but let a small, knowing smile play on her lips.
At the front yard of the Lloyd residence, the garden was a showcase of elegance -ornate rockeries, a quaint int little bridge m arching over a gentle stream, and manicured landscaping that left no doubt about the amount of money spent on it. Barely had Shane and Suzanne stepped through the grand entrance when Frankie and Todd burst out from the house, beaming with excitement.
Frankie eyed Suzanne, who was dressed head-to-toe in white and sported that mysterious mask, with a hint of curiosity before turning to Shane. "Mr. Doyle, and who might this be?" he asked warmly, gesturing toward Suzanne.
