Chapter 230 Seline was seething. She glared through the glass window at Suzanne, who was focused on her work outside. The sheer sight of her made her blood boil. She wanted to storm out and strangle that bitch with her bare hands. Why the hell was Suzanne still alive? Sensing that something was off, Tanya stepped forward cautiously. "Ms. Yates, are you okay?" Before she could touch her, Seline whipped around, her gaze ice-cold and ruthless. "Tanya," she said, her voice low and dangerous. "I made you deputy manager because I needed someone loyal. Can you promisethat?" Tanya had never seen her this intense before. A chill ran down her spine, but she quickly nodded. "Of course, Ms. Yates. I've always been on your side." After all, Seline was Henry's daughter. Sticking with her was the safest bet.
Though... she couldn't shake the nagging doubt about what Suzanne had mentioned earlier regarding company shares. Was that true? Seline's lips curled into a satisfied smile. She waved her hand dismissively. "Good. Stay close to me, and you won't have to worry about promotions or raises. Now, get back to work." Having successfully reassured Tanya, she sank back into her chair.
Suzanne had gotten lucky again, dodging disaster one more time. But as long as Suzanne was in this company- on her turf-there was no way Seline wouldn't find a way to crush her.

She had seen what had happened to Jessica. Could she really cout of this unscathed? Could she actually get that promotion and raise? The moment the office door shut, Seline's pleasant expression vanished. With a violent sweep of her arm, she sent everything on her desk crashing to the floor. Her fists were clenched tightly, and she ground her teeth as she glared at Suzanne through the glass.
Her voice dripped with venom as she murmured to herself, "Suzanne, if you dare go near my Jenson again, I'll send you straight to hell." The office break area was filled with light chatter as employees gathered for an afternoon tea break. They had ordered an assortment of pastries and milk tea, sinking lazily into their chairs as they took a breather from work. With coffee in hand, they sipped leisurely, enjoying the rare moment of relaxation.
Dressed in a tight red dress, Lillian nudged the person beside her, waggling her brows as she whispered, "Hey, do you think Suzanne really slept her way to that contract?" The moment the words left her mouth, interest piqued all around.
"I'd bet on it," someone chimed in. "I mean, con. We all know what kind of guy Khalil is." Knowing smirks spread across their faces.
Macey clutched her latte, frowning as she listened. She didn't know Suzanne that well, but something in her gut told her that these rumors were wrong.
Why would someone with that level of talent need to do something like that? Macey bit her straw, frustrated. She couldn't hold back anymore. "You guys shouldn't talk like that. She's actually really talented."
Lillian Lopez let out a light laugh and glanced at her. "Oh, Masey, you still believe in that 'talent alone can make E you successful' crap?"

Macey's face turned red. She wanted to argue, but deep down, she knew she didn't have the Yorce of influence to change their minds. Frustrated, she hugged her latte and sulked in silence. Suddenly, a voice broke through the chatter. "Wait... hold up..." Everyone turned toward the source.
Lillian rolled her eyes. "What now? Why are you acting so tic?" But the woman who spoke didn't pay attention to Lillian's tone. Eyes glued to her phone, she scrolled rapidly, her fingers swiping across the screen.
"I think I just found something huge. Ladies, clook at this."
