"Mrs. Houston, I made soup for you and Mr. Houston," he said.

"Put it there," Debra replied.
Ivan complied and went back to the kitchen.
Neither Debra nor Marion seemed interested in the soup.
Randy ventured, "Aren't you two going to try it?" "No need. It's undrinkable," Debra responded.
Skeptically, Erica lifted the lid and sniffed at it. There was no smell.
She tasted a spoonful and frowned. "How did he manage to make something that's both bland and bad?" "Really?" Randy stepped forward to have a taste.
His face twisted. "How did he make it sweet and salty? Doesn't he even try his own soup?" Debra wasn't bothered by it. Ivan wasn't going anywhere anyway. Her priority was to deal with Theda. Earlier, she had wounded Robert and taken the shares of the Nichols Group. Theda wouldn't let that go easily. Barton cdown the stairs, addressing Debra and Marion. "Mr. Andrew Potter would like to meet you guys." Debra glanced at Marion and linked arms with him. Together, they went up in the elevator.
Erica said, "They got to know each other just a year ago. Now they're inseparable." Randy had a mouthful of popcorn and took her hand. "A year from now, we'll be like that too." "Dream on." Erica swatted his hand away.
In the kitchen, Ivan looked upstairs. He had heard that Andrew worked on the second floor. Usually, no one was allowed up there.

Ivan's room was on the south side of the first floor. To get close to then second floor, he would have to pass through at least four security checkpoints. The Potter family was a fortress. It was as solid as the rumors said.
Barton opened the door to the study, revealing Andrew at his desk. In the swheelchair as before, he paused from reading a newspaper and looked up. "Congratulations again on your marriage. Next, you'll face a world full of danger," he said, placing the newspaper on the desk.
The headline read that Buchan Entertainment had been acquired by the Nichols Group. Theda had been appointed as the new CEO, taking over Juan's role.
Debra asked, "Theda returned the stock transfer agreement to me. How did she end up as CEO?"
Andrew explained, "You only have 45% of the shares. While you were away, Theda must have given those shareholders enough benefits. In return, they elected her as CEO."
